William Morton has been shooting since the days of his Junior High School yearbook staff. Opening his first studio in Washington in 1991, William began his photographic career in the portrait world while he was in the US Navy. Upon moving to California he began to photograph headshots and model portfolios, leading him to his first advertising work in the late 90's. William spent 3 years as an Assistant Manager at a retail portrait studio, where he learned the importance of speed and efficiency. He later spent 5 years as the corporate Director of Photography for a national franchise company, training portrait and event photographers. A firm believer in education, William continues to teach digital photography at UCSD, and for the Panasonic-sponsored Digital Photo Academy as well as local photo Meetups, seminars, and the like.

William prides himself on being a professional who is easy to work with, self-sufficient, and able to deliver images anytime and anywhere. William is available for commercial assignments nationwide, and covers conventions or corporate events in San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, or any major city in the U.S.

William joined the American Society of Media Photographers in 1999, and was subsequently elected as President of ASMP San Diego for two years. In 2013 William once again stepped in to serve as ASMP-SD President, and is focusing on education and collaboration in the San Diego photo community.
